Privacy Policy

skyblock.events ("we", "us", "the site") is a free, informational fan website that displays the live Hypixel SkyBlock calendar, mayors, elections and events. This policy explains what limited data is involved when you visit, how cookies and advertising work, and the choices you have. By using the site you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We do not operate accounts, logins, or forms, and we do not ask you for personal information. We do not sell personal data. The site is static and does not run its own analytics or tracking database.

Like virtually all websites, our hosting and network provider automatically process standard technical request data (such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Third parties described below (including Google) may also collect data through cookies.

2. Cookies and local storage

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage only to remember your own preferences on your device — specifically whether you enabled event notifications and whether you dismissed the notification hint. This information stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.

Third parties (notably Google, and our network provider Cloudflare) may set cookies as described below. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not break the core features of the site.

3. Advertising & Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. In connection with this:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
• Google may use a cookie or device identifier to personalize ads. Where required, ads may be shown in a non-personalized form.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.eu in the EU).

For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see Google's Privacy & Terms — How Google uses data.

4. Third-party services

The site relies on the following third parties, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google AdSense — advertising (see above).
• Cloudflare — content delivery, security and DDoS protection; may set a security cookie and process request metadata.
• Google Fonts — web fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may receive your IP address as part of the request.
• Hypixel API and the Elite (elitebot.dev) API — your browser requests public game data (mayors, elections, contests) directly from these services to show live information.

5. Notifications

If you choose to enable notifications, the site uses your browser's Notifications API to alert you before in-game events. These reminders are generated locally in your browser; no push data is sent to or stored by us. You can revoke the permission at any time in your browser settings.

6. Data security & retention

The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not collect or store personal information ourselves, we do not retain personal data about you. Any data handled by the third parties above is subject to their own security and retention practices.

7. Children's privacy

The site is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights regarding personal data processed about you. Because we do not hold personal data ourselves, most such requests should be directed to the relevant third party (e.g. Google) whose services processed the data. You may also contact us using the details below.

9. External links & affiliation

The site links to and displays data from third-party services. We are not responsible for their content or practices. skyblock.events is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hypixel Inc. or Mojang AB.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised.
